"Our Own Investment Projects
Quite understandably, many private clients ask us whether we take advantage of the same investment opportunities that we bring to their attention. We can say quite unequivocally that we do, although sometimes it’s on a rather larger scale.
An excellent example is a new development scheme located a little way to the north of Sax, which is a rural village in the province of Alicante in the south east of Spain. The project will involve the construction of up to 800 high quality residential units on a site of some 1.3 million square metres and the creation of other facilities including eco-trails, public footpaths, sports facilities and a variety of sympathetically designed restaurants and leisure buildings.
Designed by one of Spain’s leading architects – the same practice that was recently responsible for the conversion of Valencia’s football stadium – the new development will also see the existing Finca la Torre mansion house refurbished and redeveloped into a luxury hotel.
The whole project represents an investment of some 9.2 million Euros and Ward & Co’s managing director Andrew Ward has led this exciting project from the outset. Not only is he one of the major investors in the development, he will also be giving Ward & Co customers the opportunity to invest in a later phase, likely to be around 2020, when the individual properties will be available for sale.
This is just the latest example of our whole-hearted commitment to the principle of long term property investment. We wouldn’t expect our customers to invest their hard-earned money if we weren’t prepared to do the same. It also demonstrates, of course, that we expect to be in this business for many years to come and that we have the assets, the experience and the financial stability to support you with whatever investment plans you may have.
